Staying at the retreat was just wonderful and everything we were looking for as a little family getaway; we got to also bring our little furbaby too and it was just perfect!! The room was clean and fabulous, breakfast was delicious 😋 Russ is just so friendly and greeted us upon arrival. The forest was literally our front yard, we love nature so being nestled amongst the trees was just so rejuvenating!! thank you so much Russ & co, we will be back again, soon.

Wonderful— highly recommended!
Gorgeous place to stay! The cottage is decorated beautifully and very peaceful and private. Breakfast was sumptuous with smoked salmon, eggs from the property, fresh fruit, pastries and more! Russ was a very helpful and hospitable host. Faultless — will be back for sure!

Relaxing tranquil hideaway in the bush
A beautiful little cabin (Orchid Villa) set in the bush, with all the amenities you could need and a friendly and generous host. A croquet lawn and garden, and lots of wildlife including resident chickens and some friendly bush turkeys, as well as an array of happy frogs in the rain 😁 Whisper-quiet and comfortable, we had the best sleep every night of our stay. Russ our wonderful host had stocked our fridge with food for brekkie as well as other tasty goodies for our 7-night stay. The villa is really well located for some great bushwalks and lookouts, as well as a short drive to Eumundi which has great coffee, twice weekly markets, and an amazing pub (Joe’s Watering Hole). We also had an awesome pizza round the corner at Orange on Sunrise, and it’s an easy drive down to Noosaville for dinner. Also plenty of TV options (Foxtel, Netflix etc) and a comfy living area and kitchen for when it rains. Great for relaxing in the Hinterlands and getting away from it all.

Peaceful and comfortable stay hidden away in the hinterland, gorgeous!
The location and setting was beautifully peaceful. The accommodation was clean, spacious and cosy. Lots of goodies for breakfast. Comfortable and quiet to come back to after a day exploring. Loved it!

A beautiful, relaxing place, just far enough away from the coastal noise and bustle.
Noosa Hinterland Retreat is in a beautiful setting. Birds abound in the rainforest that abuts the property, otherwise it is quiet and readily accessible. The accommodation is personal and very comfortable – making the most of the beautiful setting. We were made very welcome and, the food provided was fresh and delicious. We will be recommending this place to our friends.

What a wonderful place to stay. The apartment is perfect. Everything you would wish for was there. The king size bed was super comfortable with good quality bedding. This was one of the best AirBnb we have stayed at. Definitely will book again. Russ was also a super host with clear and fast communication.

This apartment was wonderful. If you are looking for a place that has a comfortable homely feel, I would recommend. Clean & tidy and well appointed with extra towels & blankets. Extremely close to Mooloolaba Beach, Restaurant’s & Bars all just a short walk. Has good size balcony with leafy outlook. Pool, spa, and restaurant in complex. Will definitely consider staying here again. Luved it.

Relaxing and beautiful!
We were welcomed upon arrival and felt very comfortable and relaxed. Russ was very friendly and lovely! The villa which we stayed in was beautiful, relaxing, clean and comfortable. The location of the retreat is amazing if you are craving a break from the city life and there are many little touches (like breakfast and snacks) that made us very happy and appreciative.

One of the really special ones
The attention to detail in the design and customer experience here is just beautiful. We were quite late (a few hours!) for check in and Russ (the owner) still waited up to welcome us with warmth and a smile. We stayed in the Balinese style accommodation and when you walk in, you can see how much pride he takes in what he does. The heater was on, chilled music was playing softly and the lights were dimmed. It was my birthday the next morning and so Russ had put rose petals on the bed with a pack of Ferrero Rocher. When we woke up the next morning, we were able to see the beautiful view from the private balcony! We were essentially standing raised up in the middle of the rainforest! There was NO NOISE except the birds in the trees and our balcony had private BBQ and outside sofas. The shower was fantastic, and the bathroom was beautifully designed with natural stone. And to top it all off, breakfast was ready and waiting in the fridge – eggs, croissants, juice, yoghurt, sliced fruit, and there is a Nespresso machine as well. When we were leaving, we had a great chat with Russ, and he waved us down the driveway as we left. We will 100% return to this beautiful escape and would recommend it to anyone looking for a calm, quiet rainforest retreat. It’s simply a beautiful place to stay and very much worth it!

Perfect place for a celebration, would not get better
Absolutely fantastic, Russ goes out of his way to make you feel really comfortable and all the little extras make it very special. Incredible BBQ area in the treetops and so lovely and quiet. The breakfast was terrific with plenty of variety too. Would love to go back again.

If you want to know how to set up accommodation for guests, you would travel along way to find a better example than what Russ has done at Noosa Hinterland Retreat. Warm and friendly welcome. Exceptional breakfast provision. All the little extras that make a guest feel special. Would highly recommend this property.

We stayed in the Noosa hinterland suite, the decor and cleanliness of the room was impeccable. Russ had so many little touches around, some little snacks and breakfast also surprising provided. Definitely the relaxing night we required; we definitely wish we extended our stay. Would definitely re book and highly recommend this to others.

Recently, I stayed in the Orchid Villa at Noosa Hinterland Retreat for a bit of a secluded getaway. It was everything I wished for and more. The best part was the rain on the roof, animals and insects making their music with the soulful environment Could not recommend it any more than absolutely amazing.

The hospitality Russ offers is nothing less than amazing!
The attention to detail was perfect and there were even special treats for us to enjoy. The usual comforts like the bed and bedding, very comfortable. The shower, perfect. The bar fridge packed with breakfast goodies, milk and OJ. It was chilled perfect for our beer and wine. All the usual amenities were there. I enjoyed cooking some eggs for breakfast (provided), making a coffee with the coffee machine and pods (provided) and I even packed some S&P squid and cooked that up and served with a salad for lunch one of the days we were there. We will be definitely returning to this property; we left all our stress of daily life at the door and entered our own private hideaway. The ambiance was beautiful through day to night. I’d love to go back now! Another lovely point is the kindness of Russ. He offered to post my dress to me that I’d left behind at no charge.

Awesome retreat
Where to begin? We loved it here – could have stayed a week! Beautiful setting, well-appointed suite, quiet, all the comforts of home. It was great to have a fully equipped kitchen, and the BBQ on the deck was a nice bonus. The breakfast was very good.

what a perfect stay, what a perfect host, what a perfect house…. We honestly had the best days in all the 5-week vacation at Noosa Hinterland Retreat. It’s not only Noosa and the environment, the beach, the sand safari at North Shore and the best steak we ever had (Prime Rib Eye Bone in), it was the very warm and heartily welcome of Russ and his housekeeper Anna, that ran the race. Yes, we will definitely rebook.

One of the best I have stayed at!
Beautiful tranquil location, clean, lovely decor, comfy bed and all round a great place to stay. The studio suite has a lot of room and good kitchen and bathroom Amenities. I had a baby with me and lots of room for the porta cot also. The instructions to get there were clear and easy to follow, even in the dark. The self-catered breakfast was so amazing.

The room design and presentation was thoughtful and made our stay relaxing. The location was half way to Eumundi and Noosa, so ideal for our visit to the Eumundi markets as well as the beach. Extraordinary hotel that deserve more than 5 stars
It was amazing spend 3 days in this hotel, we would like to stay longer. The suit room is awesome, spacious, cosy, well decorated, quite well equipped, comfortable, there aren’t enough word to describe it. There is a terrace very comfortable with a table where we enjoy our breakfast and dinner cooked by ourselves in the BBQ. The kitchen is very well equipped as well and the staff supply every day the groceries for breakfast. A plate of fresh fruit was waiting for us when we arrived. Spend time in this peaceful place hearing the songs of the birds doesn’t have price. And the best it the kind staff always trying to ensure that we enjoyed our stayed there. This hotel deserves more than 5 stars, we would like to live in a place like this.

Lovely forest retreat with amazing Balinese decor and a host that goes the extra mile!
Russ the host was extra lovely. Had a booklet on all things to do in the area, personalized by himself with many recommendations. He had gone the extra mile to make our stay more welcoming by leaving breakfast items in the fridge, including croissants, muffins, as well as fresh fruit, almond milk (my partner is vegan) as well as fresh OJ and organic yogurt! The room itself was beautiful, the decor breathtaking, and view out into the forest tranquil. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again for longer next time!

Russ was a really great and thoughtful host he made our late check in super easy and agreed to a later check out because we arrived pretty late. the villa got all the amenities needed and more It’s super comfy . The villa is in the middle of a pretty and peaceful forest with beautiful pool. Breakfast provided was great.
