Hinterland

Our traditional Queenslander-style homestead is located at the end of a quiet mountain-top lane behind a secure gate,  a private relaxed environment ready for you to enjoy.   Our steep three acre property contains a fifty-meter-tall gum forest and a seasonal creek, with a sweeping coastal panoramic view wuth dormant volcanoes.

Down the garden steps at the Hinterland is a 40m croquet green perched on the terraced hillside, surrounded by soaring gum forest.  Guests can also visit our chicken coop there and chicken transport tube to the top of the hill. The hillside below contains an acre of tea plants (camellia sinensis) and coffea arabica.

Our Hinterland property is surrounded by a massive national park with world-class cycling, mountain biking and hiking.

Beach

The Beach property is located within a secure resort containing an excellent deep heated pool and large always-hot jacuzzi, pool lounges, complementary mini-golf course, complementary gym, excellent authentic Thai restaurant with a quaint bar (for dinner only), and beauty salon.

Mooloolaba has perhaps the best swimming beach in Australia nearly perfectly East-West, and home to the annual IronMan.  The Mooloolaba Surf Club and patrolled beach is a 100m walk.  Sea Life Aquarium is a 100m walk.

The new Wharf Precinct is a 50m walk and contains many top restaurants, a few bars, a liquor store, and a small grocery store as well as a marina for boat charters.  The Mooloolaba Esplanade shops, restaurants and bars are a 200m walk.  The Fish Markets are about 1.2 kms.

The Marina offers numerous fishing and wildlife cruises. There are many tourist attractions within a short drive from either property.

Sunshine Coast Airport is a 15 minute drive, about $45 in a taxi, $18 by shuttle.  We can arrange private transport for you in advance.  It is possible to take the bus from the airport via Maroochydore.

Sunshine Coast

If you love nature and the outdoors, Noosa and the Sunshine Coast is the perfect chilled destination with uncrowded unspoilt beaches, stunning national parks, excellent fishing, diving, cycling and many other outdoor adventure activities. We can rent you sturdy mountain bikes for exploring the surrounding the extensive trails in Tewantin National Park across the road.

Noosa Heads and Noosaville nearby are renowned for award-winning restaurants and cafes, with an abundance of fresh, local Queensland produce prepared by top chefs.

 

 

We are close to Sunshine Coast’s attactions:

      • two minute drive or ten minute walk to award-wining Orange on Sunrise pizza.
      • five minute drive to Mt Tinbeerwah, with a pleasant fifteen minute hike to stunning panoramic views of the region.
      • ten- or fifteen-minute drive to award-winning restaurants, cafes and shops in Noosaville, Noosa, Sunshine Beach, Cooroy and Eumundi.
      • ten-minute drive to the Noosa River, sunset cruises, Noosa Ferry Cruise, and the start of the highly recommended Discovery Fraser Island and Noosa Everglades tours.
