For two years, we have received calls from dozens of consumers who have noticed small seemingly fraudulent charges made on their credit cards made by “Noosa Hinterland Retreat Pty Ltd”. They assume it must be our B&B charging their cards even though they have never done business with us and we would not have had access to any of their details.
In August 2026, an irate customer realized that his dozen $2.50 charges must have been made at a vending machine next to the Temptations Bakery in Kunda Park, QLD which he frequents. The vending machine operator informed us they were using a similar name to our bnb for billing and has kindly changed the billing name for the vending machine to avoid any future customer confusion.
