For two years, we have received calls from dozens of consumers who have noticed small fraudulent charges made on their credit cards made by “Noosa Hinterland Retreat Pty Ltd”. They assume it must be our B&B charging their cards even though they have never done business with us and we would not have had access to any of their details.
The ABN for Noosa Hinterland Retreat Pty Ltd is 24 590 519 390, owned by BASSET, ROBYN TRACY since 24 Apr 2010, formerly PAUL, ROBYN TRACY since 29 Jun 2001, formerly MCGRATH, ROBYN TRACEY since 15 Jun 2001 (per the ATO website). It is registered in post code 4574 which is far inland Noosa shire, near Kenilworth. In 2024 when we filed our police reports, it was registered at a vacant lot in nearby at 65-67 Tallgum Ave in Verrierdale 4562. This ABN was cancelled in Nov 2025, after several years of these fraudulent charges. We do not know if Robyn Tracy Basset is involved, or if these criminals were just using her ABN.
Noosa Hinterland Retreat, the B&B in Tinbeerwah close to Noosa’s tourist area, is a trading name for EUDEY, RUSSELL MICHAEL, sole trader, ABN 15 616 277 150, registered at this address in Tinbeerwah 4563. In ten years, we have served thousands of guests. We are authorized to handle their credit card numbers and have never had an incident with their data.
We have filed criminal reports with Noosa police and the ATO, but since the fraud is not against our accounts, they can’t take it any further.
